Some New Japanese Erotica

I made a couple of new Japanese Shunga yesterday; its a little, well, maybe a lot more graphic than my paintings usually are, but I really love them. Here they are; click on the links to buy the originals (or if they have already sold, prints for 17.00) on my website!

Self-Portrait with a Chain

These are some photos taken of me a few years ago by a photographer whose name I don't remember; I used to work as an artist model, and I posed for this man I met in an art class in Santa Rosa. He took a ton of pictures; these are some with an old rusty chain he handed me at the end and asked me to play with! I think some of the photos are rather pretty; here they are! I'll post more eventually of some of the other poses.

Trevor and Grapefruit

I had not realized it had been so long since I had posted! There is only so much time a day to devote to my internet presence and still be productive as an artist, and I have been very concentrated on facebook of late. Which reminds me; friend me on facebook! I've been posting all my work in progress as I do it, and updates about models and such. Look up Felix d'Eon!

At any rate, here are some new photos; they are of my very good friend Trevor and my houseguest Grapefruit; they were photographed by Pico Della Rosa, in my studio here in San Francisco. I was not even there for the photo shoot; these are entirely the work of Pico, although I selected and photoshopped the images you see here; if Pico had done them, they would look better. At any rate, enjoy!

Hood Ornaments

I just finished a particularly beautiful piece, called "Hood Ornaments."Danimal came over to model for it last week; it was a really fun photo shoot. I knew I wanted a painting of elegant men and their chauffer getting it on on the hood of an old Rolls. I found a photo of the car I wanted online, and I set up props (chairs and books and such) to give us the right height so that he would be seated on the hood while I was standing on the side-board or whatever that thing is called that goes above the tires. Anyway, we proceeded to model and pose while my assistant took photos as though we were on the car! Here are some of the more beautiful poses;

Danimal on his stool, ready for me to step into the pose!

After, I took photos of Danimal as the chauffer, to be placed in the car, smoking a cigarette

And then I put my favorite versions of the poses together in a very rough photoshopped version to see what the scale would be like, and to make it easer to draw! Here is the photoshop painting:

After this was all done, I started drawing! Here are some photos of the process. The first is a simple drawing in ink with a fine brush.

And then a slow building up of watercolor washes!

And finally, the finished painting, Hood Ornaments!

Click on the link below to purchase a print of this painting; large for 35.00, and 11 inches for 17.00!

And finally, a picture of Danimal, looking cute and getting ready for the next round of poses! We took photos for a large group of paintings; I'll post the process as I do the paintings!

The Male Nude Zodiac

So I recently had a couple of commissions to make more gay Zodiac paintings. I made three more; Libra, Pisces, and Virgo. I used myself as a model for them; I took several photos for each pose, with an idea of what the finished painting should look like, than I selected the one that seemed best, and went from there! Here are some of the photos I took, and the final paintings:

I used the second pose for the final painting, below! Click on the link to purchase a print of it for 17.00!

The next group of photos were for my version of Virgo; the poses are modest (or perhaps coy!), to suggest the innocent nature of a Virgo

This first one is the pose I decided to use.

I thought the other two were too feminine.

The final painting. Click below to purchase a print!

And finally, the third painting, Libra! I didn't include any of the photos for this one; they got misplaced somehow. But here is the painting!

If you are interested in any other of my gay astrological signs, check out the Astrology section of my website below! If your sign isn't there, let me know and I can make it for you!

Wrestling Twins

I had a photo shoot with my brother, Marcelito, a few years ago, during which I was working on a drawing of the two of us wrestling. The drawing came out terrible; I think I may even have thrown it away. But the process of doing the drawing was really fun, and the photos came out super cute! They have just been sitting in a folder these past two or three years; I found them recently, and used them to make a new painting! In the photos, Marcel and I are just doing what we usually do, which is wrestle and play. I wanted to immortalize that in a work of art, since I love my brother! Anyway, here are some of the photos my old roommate took;

And below is the painting I just made, using a photo from the shoot! You can purchase a print of it here!
